Official: The 5th Season of Academy Idol will begin Sunday, November 13, 2011 with the announcement of this year’s contenders. This is a space for you to start making suggestions of films that SHOULD be included in the Top 24.
The Academy Idol page is being finished up and redone so you’ll be able to go back and look at the past year’s winners which have included: David Fincher’s The Social Network, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, Andrew Stanton’s Wall-E, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.
This year, we will be choosing twelve original films and twelve adapted films. Any foreseen frontrunners as of now? What films will you be rooting for?

I would put my top 5 as of today for consideration. That is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, 50/50, Bridesmaids, Midnight In Paris, and Drive.
