Amanda Seyfried is one of the up in coming actresses still trying to find their way. With a strong beginning to a career, this young actress is beautiful and talented but hasn’t seemed to make her mark in the business.

Seyfried made her film debut in 2004 in Mean Girls, playing Karen Smith, the ultimate dumb blond. Playing one of the “plastics”, her supporting role was one that stood out among a cast filled with big names. Seyfried perfected the dumb airhead smile and brought a certain confidence in the character of Karen. Karen was this incredibly foolish girl and knew that she was a bit off but had a confidence in what she did well, even if it wasn’t an ability that was necessary to society. Mean Girls was a great start to Seyfried’s career.

The very first words are coming in on War Horse, and while they’re not much to go on, anything is more than we’ve had previously, so it’s a start.  Here’s the collection of reactions taken from The Film Stage:

We won’t be seeing it until December, but Steven Spielberg‘s The Adventures of Tintin is already a bonafide overseas. But what about his WWI drama Oscar hopeful War Horse? The film, which hits just a few days after Tintin here in the states, won’t be appearing at any film festivals, and we haven’t heard a peep about the final product.

That all changes today, as DreamWorks is avoiding New York and Los Angeles, holding public-only screenings in heartland states and others such as Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Kansas leading up to its December 25th release. This is a strategy that worked for their recent smash hit The Help (over $175m in box office and on its way to Oscar glory), so it looks like they are trying to repeat the same magic.

Terrence Malick notoriously takes a long time between films, so the mere fact that Malick seemed to be working on two new films since the release of ‘The Tree of Life’ was rather noteworthy.  Now comes word that he’s also shooting two more flicks next year, and they continue to have amazing casts set.  Here’s the press release from FilmNation with all the details:

FilmNation Entertainment is continuing their relationship with acclaimed director Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line) and handling international sales and distribution on his next two films.  LAWLESS will star Ryan Gosling (Drive, The Ides of March) and boasts a supporting cast that includes Academy Award Winners Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, The Flowers of War), Cate Blanchett (The Hobbit, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) plus Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network) and Haley Bennett (Marley & Me, The Haunting of Molly Hartley).

The second film, KNIGHT OF CUPS, will star Christian Bale with a supporting cast including Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas (Immortals, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen). Both films are currently in pre-production and will shoot back-to-back in 2012.  Sarah Green (Untitled Terrence Malick Project, The Tree of Life, The New World, Take Shelter, Mud) and Nicolas Gonda (Untitled Terrence Malick Project, The Tree of Life, The New World) will serve as the producers on both films with FilmNation Entertainment handling international sales during this week’s AFM.

I never usually comment on the musical performances of the night but who else thought Justin Beiber blew it tonight?

After an underwhelming night of dancing Monday night, it’s time for another star to get eliminated. But who?

Last night Ricki Lake and Rob Kardashian were at the top of the leaderboard while Nancy Grace and David Arquette were at the bottom. Tonight the bottom two was David and Nancy. So, who went home? Was it the consistent Arquette or Grace, the star who’s been at the bottom of the leaderboard since the show began and continually messes up choreography?

The next star to be eliminated is.. Read more on Dancing with the Stars: Week 7 Results…
