    1. Not sure about Oscar… but I do think she has a shot at winning the NYFCC (either her or Felicity Jones). And she looks like she could get a mention from the National Society of Film Critics too… Together with Jones and Michelle Williams IMO.

    2. I think this film still has a shot at some acting nods. A couple of European awards have given Swinton and the film some recognition, I expect the BAFTA to support it as well. Remember, Swinton has an Oscar, she is in the club, the problem is campaign and marketing. If the actors support it she is in, keep in mind Javier Barden when he was nominated last year. @Mikael, I wouldn’t really hold my breath for Jones that much, her film wasn’t a huge box office success and most critics and bloggers seem to be championing Olsen more. It is possible that for Swinton to score the NYFCC but very unlikely, the film was rejected by the NYFF and that’s usually not a good sign if you want to win a critics award. But yes, Williams is very likely to win since both NYFCC and NSFC are both early precursors and specially the latter, they are very popularistic and easily champion behind big names.

    3. OF COURSE it has chances. The Academy, however, doesn’t usually go this dark when honoring performances. However, in terms of Swinton, I Am Love and Julia were both ignored completely when it came to those year’s nominations. This is the third time she’s giving a stellar critically acclaimed performance. If they ignore the chance to honor this exquisite actress another year then they are simply ridiculous. She delivers and delivers and delivers. We aren’t asking for her to win, but the nomination needs to be there.
