Clayton Davis is the respected and esteemed AwardsCircuit.com editor. Clayton has become a proud member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association where he votes and attends the kick off to awards season show, The Critics Choice Movie Awards. Most recently, Clayton is a now an active member of the International Press Academy, which hosts the popular Satellite Awards as well as the newly integrated Broadcast Television Journalists Association, which hosts the Critics Choice Television Awards.
Wow, that was a shocking elimination! I thought the film would at least make it through Poster Week, especially considering its very popular promotional materials. Ah well, the voters have spoken…
Wow, that was…something…Considering the fact that Fincher’s “The Social Network” was highly celebrated film last year in this site, this is more the shocking. But then again “War Horse” left last week. And “Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close” didn’t even make the original cut. Films that haven’t been seen by the massive crowd really do struggle.
To be honest, I’m not really surprised. I always felt that the original was far too successful, for the remake to have a real impact, as far as audience appeal and box office goes. It’s still a really good movie, but it just doesn’t do anything for me, that the original didn’t do.
