This is going to be an interesting category at the Oscars…

I don’t think the Academy has awarded the right film for Cinematography since There Will Be Blood. The Tree of Life is above and beyond anything else in this category and it should be awarded the Oscar. As gorgeous as The Artist is, I just can’t see how it can prevail over ToL. I know I’m a huge fan of ToL so I tend to be biased, but this is the one category it really should have no trouble being victorious in. Even those who don’t like the film can’t deny the beauty it holds.
If any of the other films nominated were to win, I am going to be very disappointed.
