    American Idol” contestant Phillip Phillips was taken to a medical facility this morning for emergency treatment … TMZ has learned — and his future on the show is now in question.

    Sources tell TMZ, Phillip — the guy who always performs with a guitar on the show — was complaining of intense pain in his abdomen … and it seemed serious enough to sound the alarm.

    The nature of the medical emergency is unclear — but we’re told people close to Phillip suspect it could be gallstones.

    It hasn’t been easy for Disney to get this version of ‘The Lone Ranger’ before cameras. The bumpy ride seems to be over, as it’s currently lensing and supposedly going well. With that, we got a first look at what Armie Hammer will look like as the title character and Johnny Depp as his sidekick Tonto. If anyone was expecting this to be the movie where Depp stopped just being weird for the sake of being weird, well…you’re out of luck.     American Idol was a bit of a mixed bag last night as far as performances go, but my god some select individuals really shattered my expectations. After eleven seasons, Idol still manages to surprises us from time to time. Last night was no exception, and I’m not even solely referring to teen prodigy, Jessica Sanchez. There were in fact many out of the gate who were fighting for a spot in the finale, and I could honestly juggle several possible finale outcomes with this crop of talent being thrown at us. In short: the bad tonight were really bad, the good were pleasing but slightly forgettable, and the truly outstanding may have just proven this is Idol‘s most talented season yet.     American Idol put a picture of the set list on their Facebook page. We know for a fact that Phillip Phillips is singing “Superstition,” and Jessica Sanchez is singing “I Will Always Love You.” It’s going to be an interesting night.
