When it comes to ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, almost any bit of news is worthy of publishing. Seriously, aside from perhaps ‘Prometheus’, is there any other film that’s as eagerly anticipated in 2012? Any film from Christopher Nolan is going to be looked at with hungry eyes by most film fans, but this is something special, not the least of which being that fact that this is bringing the story to a close. I know on my end, they’re 1 and 1A, with smaller things like ‘Argo’ and ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ also high on my list. Anyway, here we have Entertainment Weekly’s Batman/Catwoman cover that you can see after the jump, along with a piece of promo art highlighting a full length look at Anne Hathaway as Catwoman that you can feast your eyes on to the right. I don’t have any real issue with her costume (in Nolan I trust when it comes to this franchise), but I know it’s a point of contention for some, so feel free to debate its merits in the comments section if you’re inclined to do so. We welcome the discussion, that’s for sure, so be sure to have at it!

I don’t think she’s as sexy as Catwoman could be, but she’ll likely be very good in the role.

I sure hope so.

This seems about as silly as the nipples on the batsuit with these ears. Still looking forward to this, but the things about catwoman haven’t really seemed promising so far.

Well, the ears are goggles, so that cuts down on the silliness a bit for me.

I think there’s probably a better way to give her goggles without making it look like a slightly updated take on the Adam West era Catwoman.

Quite possibly…I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for now though.

With The Dark Knight, all the teasers, trailers and hints showed us early indications of brilliance. The same could be said of Inception.
Sadly I feel the Dark Knight Rises seems to show more and more indications of disappointment. I pray I am wrong but this yet again increases my scepticism.

That’s fair…we’ll ultimately know in a few months.
