Academy Award nominated director Lee Daniels (Precious) new film, The Paperboy, is slated to debut later this month at the Cannes Film Festival. Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack, and Zac Efron star in this sexy crime film based on the novel by Pete Dexter. The first clip of the film shows journalist Ward James (McConaughey) interrogating Cusack’s character, who is on death row for a crime he (possibly) didn’t commit. The two seem to be playing a game of cat and mouse, as some mystery behind the killing of a local sheriff unfolds.

I’m intrigued…

We need a kidman clip. She seems to be getting such terrific early word (the director of Cannes is rooting for her to win best actress) and its such a vastly different role for her.
