Academy Award nominated director Lee Daniels (Precious) new film, The Paperboy, is slated to debut later this month at the Cannes Film Festival. Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack, and Zac Efron star in this sexy crime film based on the novel by Pete Dexter. The first clip of the film shows journalist Ward James (McConaughey) interrogating Cusack’s character, who is on death row for a crime he (possibly) didn’t commit. The two seem to be playing a game of cat and mouse, as some mystery behind the killing of a local sheriff unfolds.

    About Mark Johnson

Lover of all things film and Oscar. Fantasy sports’ equivalent of George Steinbrenner. Your very own Han Solo, making friends all over the movie-loving galaxy in spite of himself. When he’s not ranking just about everything or dominating boardgames, Mark is breaking down the Oscar race 24/7 with Rain Man-like stats and knowledge. In his downtime, you can find him commiserating with other Northeast Ohio sports fans because a hero isn’t complete without a little heartbreak. If Lost, Homeland, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Survivor are your style, then congratulations, you have something in common with this inglourious basterd.

    2. We need a kidman clip. She seems to be getting such terrific early word (the director of Cannes is rooting for her to win best actress) and its such a vastly different role for her.
