I grew up in a household that loved the James Bond films. Bond week on television was as close a thing to religion as my father/grandfather/uncle instilled in me, and the flicks will always hold a special place in my heart for that (yes, even ‘Moonraker’), as they were the films that my father and uncle grew up on and wanted to share with me. Now, with the franchise continuing on with its third Daniel Craig starring endeavor and being much more something for my generation, we have a Teaser Poster to share with you today…one that makes me a bit nostalgic. You can see it after the jump, but all I’ll say is this…it looks very familiar!

I love it, even if it tells us nothing about the film…

I really liked Eva Green’s Vesper Lynd, but my favorite has got to be Honor Blackman’s Pussy Galore, with Ursula Andress a close second as Honey Ryder.

All good choices. I’d be between Andress and Jane Seymour as Solitaire.

After Quantum of Solace left me in a state of unhinged disappointment, my expectations for this film are very low. That’s a good thing by the way. It only has up to go from here. Like Joey, I too grew up on Bond films but didn’t really appreciate their quality until later on in life. To this day, I pop in ‘World is not Enough’ on a frequent basis. Sophie Marceau delivers one of the most underrated villainess performances ever. It’s less campy than Famke Jannsen’s Xenia Onatopp and effectively subtle.

The Brosnan bonds never quite blew me away personally, but I did like him as the character quite a bit.
As for Quantum of Solace, I think a lot of that was Marc Forster being a mismatched choice with the material, but I do agree that it’s not hard to improve on that one here.
