The idea of Charlie Kaufman getting a playground on HBO to explore…well, whatever it is he feels like, well, it makes me downright giddy. Deadline is reported here that Kaufman is developing an HBO show for Catherine Keener to star in. They’ve been a strong team in the past in theaters, and Keener on TV alone is worth the price of admission. HBO has been doing the best television programming for some time now, and the A-list talent they continue to recruit is incredibly impressive in my eyes. After the jump I’ll share the minimal details available about the show, but who isn’t in just based on Kaufman and Keener? I know I am…

Deadline reports that the show will be a half-hour comedy and that “the untitled comedy is described as an exploration of one day in a woman’s life and how the events leading up to it can affect, or not, the reality in which she lives”. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like something that Kaufman can do any number of things with…I’ll be interested in learning more ASAP.

    About Joey Magidson

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 200 and 300 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Internet Film Critics Association as well. Today the IFCA, tomorrow the world!
