    2. What do you think is going on with Lincoln’s marketing team? So far, we only have one un-official still, no poster, no release date, no news at all. Are they even in post yet?

Other big releases coming in December are putting up trailers already. Django showed seven minutes at Cannes and is putting a teaser in Prometheus, not to mention it’s poster and it’s numerous stills. The Great Gatsby put up a whole trailer. Les Miserables is marketing.

Do you think the month is too packed this year and they’ll hold off until next year? Is it really that important to release it during an election year?

    3. I’m sure many assume Joaquin Phoenix will be rewarded in the supporting category. But is it possible for the Weinstein to campaign Phoenix as a leading role? They might want to reward him instead of Seymour-Hoffman, who already has an Oscar. It worked for Kate Winslet, can it work this year?

      Thoughts?
