‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ trailer premieres before MTV Movie Awards

Even though MTV Movie Awards can be incredibly annoying (a Twilight film wins Best Movie again?!), there’s no doubt that they have proved to be a great marketing tool for highly anticipated films. Before the big show last night, Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller were on hand to present the first trailer for Perks of Being a Wallflower. Perks tells the story of a freshman (Lerman) who are dealing with a terrible loss,  gets taken under the wing of two seniors (Miller and Watson). The adaptation of the acclaimed novel is set to hit screens September 14.

I feel like that’s a misleading discription of the movie/novel. Either way, this looks great. Ezra looks spectacular as well as Emma. I really love this book so ok hoping they can pull it off

Considering how internal the book gets, this shouldn’t be a surprise. I’m cautiously optimistic considering the author is writing and directing and the cast is pretty interesting. But there aren’t too many ways they could’ve done a straight adaptation.

A charming little cast, there. Looks promising.

word from advance screenings is that the film is really good and emotinally engaging with awards worthy performances – hope it lives up to the hype
