I know it’s getting repetitive, but the wait for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is almost over, ladies and gentlemen. Early Screenings have now begun, and pretty soon the first reviews will be out, and then it’s just a matter of getting in line to see what Christopher Nolan has in store for you. The people over at Collider (here) have a great little video preview for the film that I think you all will enjoy, so you can take a gander at that after the jump. Sit tight my friends…July 20th is almost here! Tease yourself (unless you want to go in completely blind) with this video below…

From Left to Right: Erinn Hayes, Blaise Miller, Julia Stiles, David Cross, America Ferrera, and Jeff Grace. Just a sample of the incredible ensemble cast!
Although the Los Angeles Film Festival has wrapped, I was fortunate enough to speak with two of the cast members from the hilarious disaster-comedy film It’s A Disaster that premiered at the yearly venue: Erinn Hayes (Children’s Hospital) and Rachel Boston (500 Days of Summer). The three of us had a great deal to speak about, primarily because we are so passionate about this film — which, by the way, I consider to be the best comedy I’ve seen so far in 2012 — and are crossing our fingers it gets picked up for a U.S. release later this year. Without further ado, here are each of my one-on-one phone interviews with these two hidden gems of comedy, transcribed for you all to read. Enjoy! Once upon a time, Harvey Weinstein and Mirimax, the company he started with his brother Bob and named after their parents, was as powerful a name in the movie industry as any. First as the premiere indie film label and then as a major studio with a seemingly golden Oscar touch. Many didn’t like Harvey’s heavy-handed methods, but few could resist them. A falling out with parent company Disney and a move to his own company with Bob led to the creation of the aptly named shingle The Weinstein Company, and Harvey was only suppose to be moving onward and upward. The power slipped away though without the money, and the brothers were unable to match their original creativity, but then a funny thing happened; Harvey seemingly snapped out of a funk and became Harvey Weinstein again. Now, TWC resembles Mirimax in many ways, and Harvey is again, catnip to Academy members. He’s won back to back Best Picture Oscars, and he’s got a trio of strong potential contenders again this year in ‘Django Unchained’, ‘The Master’, and ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’, plus other films like ‘The Grandmasters’, ‘Killing Them Softly’, ‘Lawless’, and ‘Quartet’ (not to mention James Gray’s currently untitled period piece formerly known as ‘Low Life’, which is now coming out in 2013), each with the possibility of awards in their future. In short, Harvey is back, and possibly better than ever…

The end of the summer always marks the unofficial transition from blockbusters to more Oscar friendly fare, and this year the perfect marker is ‘Lawless’, which hits theaters on August 31st. Originally pegged as a big awards player, the early word is a bit weaker than that, but I’d hardly cross it off of any lists. Anyway, we have a new Trailer to share today, and it gets into the plot a bit more than last time. You can take a gander at it after the jump, and likely continue to be excited about it. I know I’m looking forward to it. Behold it below…
