Hey everyone! Terence here, reporting on a pretty calm end to my time at Comic-Con, mostly due to the INSANE line to get into Hall H. I got to get some much needed rest after yesterday’s marathon Hall H day before heading to the Hilton Bayfront to do some interviews with members of the Art Directors Guild. I really enjoyed talking with them about their experiences working on movies and TV shows. Film and TV, being visual mediums, require great imagination and skill to bring forth the written words on the page and I definitely got a sense of the work required to bring that to life. After interviewing these great designers, I tried to see about getting into some panels but everywhere I turned there was a long line, so I decided to head back to my room and get a few things in order.
I was disappointed I wasn’t able to make it into Hall H on my final day, but luckily I had something to cheer me up. Before arriving at the interviews, I was alerted that the Mondo Game of Thrones poster that I was coveting something fierce was available. So I made a mad dash through the gigantic Convention Center and got to the booth in time to get the poster and make the interviews early. **end of story**
While I was unfortunately unable to get into Hall H, I’ve included some recaps from other sites below:
Warner Bros panel via ComingSoon.net
Iron Man 3 footage analysis from the good folks at Cinemablend
True Blood and Glee recaps via TVLine.com
Erik Davis of Movies.com and Germain Lussier of Slashfilm.com have several excellent podcasts on the footage shown from Pacific Rim, Godzilla, The Hobbit and Django Unchained. Check them out here -> Movies.com Comic Con Podcasts
The day ended, rather late, with a screening of Lawless hosted by Ain’t It Cool News. I’ll save most of my thoughts for my full length review this week, but suffice to say I really enjoyed the movie and had a fun time. Covering this event has been such a unique experience for me and I hope you all enjoyed the coverage. It’s now very early Sunday morning and I have a flight to catch so for now goodnight!
