I’m predicting an opening weekend of $190 million, but it could very well outmatch even that forecast. This movie won’t have any major competition for weeks and weeks (I doubt even ‘Bourne Legacy’ will be too much of a threat), and I doubt it’ll die down anytime after its release.

The Dark Knight was the huge success it was because of Heath Ledgers death. Of course, not all of it’s numbers came from that, but I’m willing to attribute about 50 to 75 million dollars of its gross to that. While I do think The Dark Knight Rises will perform, I don’t think it reaches it’s predecessor. Ill set it up for squeaking passed 500 million. Now if Christian Bale, Michael Caine, or Morgan Freeman die sometime in the next 2 – 3 days, I’ll put it passed 700 million.

I’ll at least see it twice in theaters and if the movie is great I’ll probably see it more than that. I have a feeling this movie will not crack the top 5 of all-time domestic box office.
