We’re taking questions for this week’s episode of “Power Hour.” We will also be having a special guest on the show this week! No other than the one who started it all, the great Sasha Stone of Awards Daily (http://www.awardsdaily.com). This should be our best show yet.
In case you’ve forgotten or are new to the Power Hour, you have an opportunity to send in questions that will be read on the episode. You can either leave it in the comment section below or send it in via SpeakPipe which is on the sidebar floating around. Your question will be played on the air during our episode if chosen so make them good!
Just a preview, we’re talking new movie trailers and the Lead and Supporting Actress race. Power Hour plays every Monday!
Make em’ good!

Now that The Great Gatsby has been moved to next Summer, which actor or actress has the best chance of securing double nominations?

Awesome to hear Sasha Stone will be on! Awards Daily is literally saved right next to Awards Circuit on my browser and I’m a fan of Oscar Poker as well. Can’t wait to hear this one; she always has interesting things to say. Anyway, my questions:
Do you think Viola Davis’s snub for “The Help” will propel her to a nomination for “Won’t Back Down”? Can you see the Academy nominating two black performers in the Best Actress category (Davis and Wallis)?
On that subject, who else from the “snubbed” of last year do you think has a chance of parlaying that sympathy to a nomination this year? I’m thinking of people like Nicholas Winding Refn, Ryan Gosling, Olivia Coleman or perhaps even Michael Fassbender.
Assuming quality of the film isn’t a factor, do you think The Academy will be willing to reward Kathryn Bigelow again for “Zero Dark Thirty” or will there be a hesitation because of her recent win for another war-type film? Note: Oliver Stone won Best Director for “Platoon” and three years later won the same award for “Born on the Fourth of July”, though the film didn’t win Best Picture.
Seriously, I can’t wait to hear this podcast!

Has there ever been a time where any of you loved a performance that did not a get a single ounce of recognition? And I mean not a single nod, from ANY awards ceremony. (E.g. Clifton Collins Jr. in Capote for me)

What makes a good trailer? And what’s the best trailer you’ve seen this year? (If Fincher had a new movie comming out this year, he could’ve pulled a triple win, since the best trailers from 2010 and 2011 where Social Network and Dragon Tattoo)
