    Just two years after his re-election to the Presidency with the largest margin of votes in American Presidential history, Richard Nixon would resign in 1974 amidst the Watergate scandal. The actions of the President and his White House staff left the nation reeling, a corruption of trust from which they might never have recovered to this day. Vice President Gerald Ford would pardon Nixon, an act which might have cost him the election which saw Jimmy Carter become the President.

    Movies were never better than they were in the seventies. With taboos gone, filmmakers were free to create films about anything they desired, thus drug addiction, divorce, prostitution, mental illness, homosexuality, impotence, psychosis, and Vietnam found their way into films through the decade.     This past Sunday, August 19th, Hollywood Bowl attendees were graced with two of the world’s most acclaimed musical talents: Venezuelan conductor (Music Director of the LA Philharmonic) Gustavo Dudamel and tenor Plácido Domingo. The “Dudamel and Domingo!” concert was sponsored by the President of the José Iturbi Foundation, Donelle Dadigan, who is also the President of the famed Hollywood Museum.     Channing Tatum is getting nostalgic in the Trailer for ‘Ten Years’

    The ensemble comedy looks to win you over this September...

    Ever since enraging me earlier this year in ‘The Vow’, Channing Tatum has been slowly softening my stance on him by impressing me in both ’21 Jump Street’ and ‘Magic Mike’. Now, he’s going the indie route again by starring in and producing the reunion comedy ‘Ten Years’, and we have a Trailer that you can see after the jump. I’m actually seeing the film today, but can’t talk about it until next month, so take a gander and try and guess what my take on the flick will be. I will say this…the cast (which includes Rosario Dawson, Justin Long, Anthony Mackie, Kate Mara, Oscar Isaac, and Chris Pratt) is pretty good as a starting point. Time will tell though.
