PICTURE:
1. Argo
2. Lincoln
3. The Silver Linings Playbook
4. The Master
5. Les Miserables

6. Beasts of the Southern Wild
7. Life of Pi

8. Zero Dark Thirty
9. Promised Land

10. ??? Amour? Django? Sessions? Exotic Marigold Hotel? Anna Karenina?

Personally, I only see 5 or 6 nomiees, unless the Academy wants to push the 9-10 nominee thing on us.

DIRECTOR:
1. Ben Affleck- Argo
2. Paul Thomas Anderson- The Master
3. Steven Spielberg- Lincoln
4. Tom Hooper- Les Miserables
5. Ang Lee- Life of Pi

If say Lincoln wins best picture, for some strange reason I see PTA winning Best Director, unless Argo wins then it goes to Affleck. Tom Hooper is basically the next Stephen Daldry.

ACTOR:
Joaquin Phoenix
John Hawkes
Daniel Day Lewis
Bill Murray
Denzel Washington

ACTRESS:
Jennifer Lawrence
Quvenzhane Wallis
Maggie Smith- Quartet
Marion Coitillard
Emmanuelle Riva

I'm not too keen on Riva. Amour has been one of the most acclaimed films, but 2 foreign language nominees in one year? The word on Anna Karenina is muted, so Knightley is on the bubble. Ditto with Watts. If Frances Ha gets picked up by a strong distributorand the cards are played right, Gerwig could be a surprise. No trailer for Guilt Trip still, so I guess we'll just have to wait on Barbra.

SUPPORTING ACTOR:
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Robert De Niro
Leonardo DiCaprio
Hal Holbrook
Russell Crowe

This is a tough category. I doubt Weinstein will push The Master both in leads, but will he send Hoffman here to take votes away from his other film and Leo? Hal Holbrook could be a von Sydow with Promised Land and Bobby Milk could surely get awarded once more. Will Dwight Henry sneak in?

SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
Anne Hathaway
Helen Hunt
Amy Adams
Sally Field
Judi Dench

Weak field. Amy Adams could be the Dano per se, but mostly every review I've read laments her strong, but small performance. She is the best actress working today IMO. Will Oscar be kind to Hathaway after her hosting performance, or was that mostly on Franco? Will Vanessa Redgrave find a place in here for 'Song for Marion'? From all the commercials for 'Never Back Down', it seems Maggie G is lead and Davis is co-lead/supporting, but will them nominate her after denying her last year?

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY:
The Master
Amour
Moonrise Kingdom
Promised Land
Django Unchained

ADAPTED SCREENPLAY:
Argo
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Lincoln
Silver Linings Playbook
The Sessions

@Tyler & @Jerry, thanks for also believing in the strong possibility of 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' sneaking in. It has all the ingredients that an Academy voter gravitates towards. The only detractor is the early release date, but with the DVD hitting in September...watch out!
