I will be very, VERY surprised if either Murray or Linney make it into the race -- they might, there is always that possibility, but I think with so many new, outstanding performance emerging, it's going to be a tough call -- by the way, Fox reps have stated Helen Huntn will go supporting for The Sessions, which could wrap that category up right now -- Jennifer Lawrence might go lead I have heard for Silver Linings Playbook, which is silly (it is a supporting performance) all of which is going to alter the race -- going to be fun doing over the predictions after seeing some of the contenders and now, non-contenders -- again, just do not see it happening for Murray or Linney, they are good, both of them, but are they that good? Maybe, you never know do you until they read the lists nomination day.

Meryl Streep won best actress last year for a movie that was panned by critics, so you can't count Murray out in any case. Even Linney has a shot. But it sure looks bad now for BP.
