Now THIS is a trailer. After lamenting the dearth of good trailers this year, who would have thought that a movie based on a Bret Easton Ellis screenplay would break up the malaise? The trailer and poster for The Canyons have arrived online today and they’re surprisingly pretty good. The 70s sleazy vibe really fits the story of young people doing bad things in LA. Also, that “Huge” part of porn star James Deen’s intro was pretty funny given where most people might know him from. Will the actual film be this much fun/foolish? One can only hope. The Canyons stars Lindsey Lohan, James Deen, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Gus Van Sant and is being rumored for a possible Sundance debut. Check out the full trailer after the jump!
