  • 31 Days of Horror: Devilish DVD Pick of the Day (Week 4)

The terrifying DVD recommendations continue on this week...

    October 24, 2012

We’re getting towards the end of 31 Days of Horror here at The Awards Circuit, but there’s still plenty of things still to come, including more DVD recommendations! I’ll conclude next week with a massive Devilish DVD Pick (i.e.: multiple movies), but for today I wanted to highlight an individual movie that I’m a pretty big fan of. It’s ‘The Strangers‘, a home invasion horror film that has always been able to really unsettle most people. I enjoy it quite a bit and know that I’m not alone. After the jump you can see the Trailer that first unnerved so many before it came out, but feel free to also let me know what fright flicks you’re watching as Halloween draws near. Check out that video below…

    About Joey Magidson

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 200 and 300 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Internet Film Critics Association as well. Today the IFCA, tomorrow the world!

    2. I’m one of the people that was unnerved by the trailer. Only time a trailer had a lasting affect on me. That guys mask is just frightening.

      • Indeed. I still remember the screams in the audience during that trailer. Rarely happens, though ironically it also did with Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a far weaker flick…
