With the news about Les Miz being ~175 minutes and power going out on the east coast, it seemed appropriate to take a bit of a detour into some horror musical moments. (Yes I know it’s a stretch but go with it) So instead of Joey’s fun series about Terrible Tuesday Ways to Die, I decided to share a few of my favorite musical moments in horror-related films. Enjoy!
I Put A Spell On You from Hocus Pocus

Oogie Boogie Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas

This is Halloween from The Nigthmare Before Christmas

Die Die, We All Pass Away (Remains Of The Day) from Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Thriller by Michael Jackson. Of course, this isn’t a movie moment but it’s a Halloween staple nonetheless.

    About Terence Johnson

When he's not enduring Shade Samurai training from Victoria Grayson, you can find Terence spends his time being an avid watcher of television, Criterion film collector, Twitter addict, and awards season obsessive. Opinionated but open minded, ratchet but with class, Terence holds down the fort as the producer of the Power Hour podcast and will soon be taking over Historical Circuit, bringing you the best films and hidden gems from the lovely history of cinema. As the only person with a degree in a STEM field (B.S. in Civil Engineering), he's holding it down for the nerds who love film. You can follow him on Twitter at @LeNoirAuteur.

      • As a Stephen Sondheim fan, I really dislike what they did to the score and the fact that Depp and Bonham-Carter couldn’t sing it.

The “My Friends” sequence is the best in the film though.
