*UPDATE* – We know there are some difficulties with the podcast.  It will be resolved later today!

Sorry for the lateness but certain events had to occur in order to record this latest episode of The Awards Circuit Power Hour effectively.  We’re talking four big movies:

    • Ang Lee’s Life of Pi – Thoughts on the film, is it a Picture nominee?
    • David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook – Could a comedy pull through in the big categories?  Is Jennifer Lawrence worthy of frontrunner status?
    • Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables – What we’re allowed to talk about but general thoughts on how it shapes the race moving forward.
    • Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty – Does it top The Hurt Locker?  Will Oscar like it?  Does Chastain unseat Lawrence?  Do we have newcomers like Jason Clarke and Jennifer Ehle in the race?
    • Lead Actress and Lead Actor – What do those categories look like today?

    1. It’s weird. I can hear the opening song fine, but then when I am trying to hear you guys speak, it is way too quiet, even with the volume turned up all the way.

    2. Seriously Clayton whispering and talking slowly does not make it so you do not break your embargo. Talk what you can talk about in your normal speaking voice.

    4. Speak up! Sounds like this podcast was made in some kid’s basement and you didn’t want to wake up his parents.

    5. I checked out a lot of sites after Zero Dark Thirty’s screening and apparently Jennifer Lawrence is still the frontrunner for the BA Oscar. Hollywood Reporter is still saying Lawrence is number one and Jessica Chastain is number two. She also has the buzz on her side though Chastain has gotten great revies. Lawrence is the one to beat… This is getting incredibly interesting.

    8. Any chance we’ll see more of a showing for Moonrise Kingdom since it’s looking like a threat to Silver Linings at ISA after the Gothams?
