Taking a quick break from all the precursors for awards season, the Grammy’s have announced their nominations. Fun, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and the incredibly talented Frank Ocean lead with six nominations each. Black Keys and Miguel each received five nominations each. American Idol Season 1 Winner Kelly Clarkson received four nominations including Record of the Year for her hit, “Stronger.” Taylor Swift showed up with three nominations while Canadian Idol contestant Carly Rae Jaepsen received two.
Notably, Gary Ross’ The Hunger Games received its two Original songs nominated, “Safe & Sound” and “Abraham’s Daughter.” Composer Hans Zimmer of The Dark Knight Rises also received a nomination for his score.
