'Les Miserables' and 'Lincoln' lead the nominations...

Spielberg’s Lincoln and Hooper’s Les Miserables make an impressive showing with the relatively young organization.  Javier Bardem from Skyfall and Samantha Barks from Les Miserables make their first showings of the season with nominations.  Is there momentum to build for either of the them?

    Not surprised that LINCOLN leads the nomination for awards given out by critics from our nation’s capital. Still, I’m impressed to see LES MISERABLES receiving the second most nods–and one for Samantha Barks, to boot.

    Look pretty spot on to me. Big surprise is Helen Mirren for Hitchcock since the film is nt getting that much awards attention.

    Alan Arkin for Argo? Bad choice. Javier Bardem for Skyfall? Good but not deserving. Anyway crazy to see a musical steal the thunder.
