What do you get when you combine an apocalyptic setting, add a splash of Terrence Malick, two Smiths, a dash of CGI, and roll it up in heavy voice over? Obviously, you’ll get the trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth starring Will and Jaden Smith, as General Cypher Raige and his 13 year old son Kitai.  When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai’s craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. Check out the trailer after the jump!

    4. Outside of the crappy CGI, the movie looks interesting. Too bad it’s a forgone conclusion that it will royally suck.
