    2. - Shut out for Amour! Unexpected!
      - The Supporting Actor category here is really counter to what we’ve seen so far. Interesting.
      - Cloud Atlas FINALLY gets a score nomination. No luck for Doona Bae, though…
      - Emma Watson’s gaining some steam. Could she be a real contender?
      - Interesting choices in Jamie Foxx and Aubrey Plaza.
      - I love the Best Scene category they do. Hard to pick between The Master, Flight, and Beasts for that. (Though surely there are scene from Lincoln that are better than Hitchcock…)

      • Emma actually won in San Diego with Anne Hathaway as the runnerup! While i don’t think that Emma is anywhere near close Anne Hathaway when it coms to who will win the oscar i still think that her performance in Perks was soaring and terrific!

Plus lateley she keeps showning uo in many list so i totally consider her a contender FOR A NOM…and a serious one! What’s more,i think the big “awards” will overlook Samntha Barks because when it comes to Les Mis they will be voting for Anne so Emma can sneak in!

    3. Just saw ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ tonight. Aubrey Plaza absolutely deserves the recognition. It was a star-making turn in a subtle comedy with great effect, from which Plaza’s performance affects us most. I love Perks too, but Emma Watson wasn’t ALL THAT in it, although she is extremely charming and likeable which means nobody will root against her during the awards circuit.

    4. Very happy to see some recognition given to Aubrey Plaza and Seven Psychopaths. I also wonder if Cabin in the Woods could bounce back in time for the Oscars to take note, given that the writers are more willing to go out on a limb than most.
