8:00 pm eastern time will be the moment the first televised awards show of the season will kick off, the Critics Choice Movie Awards hosted by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, which I am a proud member.
With nominations announced earlier today for the Academy Awards, especially the absence of many contenders like Ben Affleck, Kathryn Bigelow, and Tom Hooper, who are all nominated tonight, a film should build some serious momentum from here until Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards.
My predictions for how tonight will go is listed below with an arrow pointing to where my vote was placed on Monday. The show will air at 8:00 pm Eastern Time on the CW! Bold means predicted winner.
