We have four weeks left of Dancing with the Stars and the competition is getting heated. With no elimination last week, the stars feel the pressure to perform this week to get another shot at performing next week. Especially knowing that Singer/Actress Cher will be guest judging next week. This week the stars are challenged with their own individual routines and a group routine. Who’s the next star to go? Let’s review.
Amber Riley & Derek Hough- Glee star Amber Riley continued to perform her best this week with the Paso Doble. Riley’s spectacular Paso Doble was intense and filled with great content. Every performance is amazing but this one just set the bar even higher. Bruno thought it was full of depth and attack, Carrie Ann said it was an incredible and passionate performance and Len thought she captured the essence of the dance. Riley scored 29/30 points.
Corbin Bleu & Karina Smirnoff- After last weeks Game of Thrones debacle, actor Corbin Bleu came out and danced an amazing Cha Cha. At times it was so cute, and then it would transition into this intense hip-hop dance. I loved it and the way he just extends his body. It’s incredible. Bruno said the shape and timing was immaculate, Carrie Ann said it was the tightest Cha Cha she’s ever seen and Len complimented him on his crisp footwork and leg movement. Bleu scored 29/30 points.
Jack Osborne & Cheryl Burke- Reality star Jack Osborne danced a surprisingly charming Jive. I honestly thought that Osborne was going to suffer with the Jive, but for a short and stocky guy he was very light on his feet. Len thinks he has great musicality, Bruno said he has a wonderful ease of movement and Carrie Ann thought the routine was perfectly suited for him. Osborne scored 27/30 points.
Nicole Polizzi & Sasha Farber- Reality star Nicole Polizzi has shocked everybody with her dedication to the competition. She started off her Samba a little slow, but once she got into the rhythm of the dance she showed off her personality a lot more. Plus, I’ve noticed that her legs and footwork have improved so much. She wants to do well and it shows. Len noticed her great rhythm and control, Bruno thought there was great flow and Carrie Ann suggested she extend her movements because she finishes them too quickly. Polizzi scored 27/30 points.
Elizabeth Berkley Lauren & Val Chmerkovskiy- Actress Elizabeth Berkley Lauren performed a very fast Quickstep. I thought the speed through her off at times and it wasn’t her best dance. It seemed like Val was dragging her across the dance floor at times. Len said it was an utterly full on quickstep, Bruno found it breathtaking and Carrie Ann feels she is becoming a true ballroom dancer. Lauren scored 27/30 points.
Brant Daugherty & Petra Murgatroyd– Hunky TV actor Brant Daugherty danced an intense Jive. It was a pretty good dance, not his best, but at times you could tell he was just trying to keep up with the speed and content of the routine. But as always, he’s got such a great personality and makes the dance so much more fun to watch. Bruno felt he had too much energy but it was still a very good Jive, Carrie Ann thought it was a challenging routine and never missed a step and Len loved how he attacked the dance with great energy. Daugherty scored 27/30 points.
Leah Remini & Tony Dovalani- Talk about a woman whose had a boost in confidence throughout this competition. TV actress Leah Remini danced her best tonight with the Salsa. You can tell this week she worked her ass off to be as close to perfect as possible. The dance was filled with fantastic content and Remini was simply fantastic. She challenged herself and the result was performing her best routine thus far. Carrie Ann said she was in the zone, Len thought she gave the salsa everything she had and Bruno thought she was more carefree than any other dance she’s performed. Remini scored 26/30 points.
Bill Engvall & Emma Slater- Comedian Bill Engvall is a great personality, but lost some of is fire during his Quickstep. He lead the dance, but you could tell at times he was worried about his footwork because he face would go completely blank. This is the first dance where it seemed like he wasn’t having fun. Carrie Ann found the hold to be weak, Len said he lost his technique, but the quickstep was well done and Bruno thought there was a couple of missteps but overall a good effort. Engvall scored 23/30 points.
After two weeks of proving themselves, which star will go home next? This week Bill Engvall and Nicole Polizzi found themselves in the bottom two facing elimination. Which star goes home next? The comedian who’s quickly becoming the fan favorite or the party girl who has continually shown improvement since week one?
The next star eliminated off Dancing with the Stars is…
I guess when it comes down to it America just loves a redneck. But we’ll see how much they love him during next week’s elimination.
Tune in Monday night at 8pm ET on ABC for Dancing with the Stars.
