Awards Circuit Power Hour Episode 120: Lead and Supporting Actress w/ Guest Nathaniel Rogers

POWERHOUR_LOGO_NEW1Welcome to another edition of the Awards Circuit Power Hour, our weekly podcast diving deep into all things film, television, and entertainment.

We are joined by Nathaniel Rogers, owner and editor of The Film Experience to talk about Lead and Supporting Actress with some debate in between.

We also avoid at all costs, to talk about a certain film under embargo.  We succeed.

We also take a few of your questions.

*NOTE – From now on, if you have a question for us for Power Hour, you can either Tweet it with the hashtag #ACPowerHour OR you can leave it in the comment section of the newest episode.

Lili Taylor was in the remake of The Haunting. So Clayton was almost right!

No, it’s super silly to have Shailene Woodley at #5. But, good podcast guys. 🙂

Best Joey joke, ever: Mark died of old age.

      I kid with love.

Power Hour Question: If this were a year of five, what five films would you predict for Best Picture, and who would get a lone director nod?

  • Mike

Power Hour Question(s): What is everyone’s thoughts on the Best Director race? It seems that everyone is so sure that Jolie is guaranteed nominee, I just can’t see it yet. Also, how come Bennett Miller isn’t higher on the predictions? The Cannes win and the critics really seem to cite his direction.

How much will the race change if one of the unseen films (Unbroken, Selma, Into the Woods, A Most Violent Year) does poorly critically and/or financially?
