It is customary at the Oscars for the previous year’s acting winners to present the current year’s winners. The Academy looks to be continuing that tradition, if its first batch of presenters is any indication.
The Academy announced Wednesday that Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Mark Rylance and Alicia Vikander will present. DiCaprio famously broke his Oscar-less streak last year, winning Best Actor for “The Revenant.” If tradition is kept, DiCaprio will present this year’s Best Actress Oscar.
Larson, who presumably will present Best Actor, won Best Actress last year for “Room.”
Rylance and Vikander won Best Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively, for their “Bridge of Spies” and “The Danish Girl” performances.
The Academy has yet to announce other presenters. Jimmy Kimmel will host the show, which airs on ABC Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Stay tuned for more details on this year’s show, performances and presenters.
