AFI Fest officials just announced that Ridley Scott‘s “All the Money in the World” will close the 2017 festival with their World Premiere.

In addition, the screening will include a special tribute to Academy Award-nominated director Ridley Scott. Scott has received three nominations for Best Director, for the films “Thelma and Louise,” “Gladiator,” and “Black Hawk Down.” He also received a nomination for producing Best Picture nominee “The Martian.” In addition, Scott introduced the world to Xenomorphs and Replicants with “Alien” and “Blade Runner.” He directed Tom Cruise in the fantasy “Legend” and sent Demi Moore to Navy SEAL training in “G.I. Jane.”

His latest film, “All the Money in the World,” stars four-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Gail Harris. In 1973, her son, John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) was kidnapped. Desperate to get her son back, Gail must convince her father-in-law, billionaire Jean Paul Getty (Kevin Spacey) to pay the ransom. Mark Wahlberg also stars as Fletcher Chase, an advisor to the family.

The film was written by David Scarpa, based on the book by John Pearson.

AFI Fest runs from November 9-16. The Closing Night Gala will take place Thursday, November 16.

The official trailer was previously released and is available here.
