The Kansas City Film Critics Circle joins the fray with their 2017 award winners. The group was founded in 1966 and is the second oldest critics group in the United States.

Unlike many other groups, KCFCC announces only the winner in each category, without the runners up. This year, “Get Out” had the most awards with three.

KCFCC also gave its special Tom Poe Award to “Call Me By Your Name.” The award was created last year to honor late member Tom Poe. It is given to the best LGBT film of the year.
