The 75th Golden Globes has officially announced their winners for the best in film and television in 2017. Throughout the night, stories of strong, resilient women were repeatedly honored, with “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” earning Golden Globes for best picture (drama), best actress in a film (Frances McDormand), best supporting actor (Sam Rockwell) and best screenplay (Martin McDonagh). Another favorite among film critics, “Lady Bird,” won for best actress in a film musical or comedy (Saoirse Ronan) and best movie (musical or comedy).

In the TV world, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Big Little Lies” also won big, with the former earning nods for best actress in a TV musical or comedy (Rachel Brosnahan) and best TV series, musical or comedy and the latter receiving awards for best actress in a limited series (Nicole Kidman), best supporting actor (Alexander Skarsgård) and best supporting actress (Laura Dern). We’ll just have to wait and see how this shakes up the Oscar nominations, set to be announced on Jan. 18.
