Iowa Film Critics Association Chooses ‘Lady Bird’ Best Film of 2017

The Iowa Film Critics (IFCA) have chosen “Lady Bird” as the Best Film of 2017. The group also awarded Greta Gerwig as the Best Director of the year. Gary Oldman, Saoirse Ronan, Willem Dafoe, and Laurie Metcalf each won again, too.

The IFCA also selects one film as the Best that Has Not Yet Opened in Iowa. This year’s choice was “Call Me By Your Name,” which is still in limited release throughout the country.

    If I’m not wrong, Coco won 37 of 41 awards for Best Animated Feature, including a Golden Globe. Incredible,

    I think Lady Bird could win the Academy Award for Best Film.
