What if all your insecurities were knocked out of your head? Amy Schumer (“Trainwreck”) takes a fall and wakes up believing she’s the most beautiful woman in the world in the first trailer for STXfilms’ “I Feel Pretty,” a new comedy set for release this summer.
The upcoming film follows an ordinary woman (Schumer) who struggles with low self-esteem and the ridiculous standards of beauty for women in 2018. But after her fall, her newfound confidence empowers her to live her life without fear, seizing new opportunities and generally feeling flawless. But will this new attitude towards herself stick around when she realizes her body never really changed after her fall?
“I Feel Pretty” boasts a cast of funny, beautiful and talented women, including Aidy Bryant (“Saturday Night Live”), Busy Philipps (“Cougar Town”), Michelle Williams (“All the Money in the World”) and Emily Ratajkowski (“We Are Your Friends”). The film also features Rory Scovel (“Those Who Can’t”) and Tom Hopper (“Game of Thrones”), with appearances from supermodels Naomi Campbell and Lauren Hutton. “I Feel Pretty” is written and directed by Abby Kohn (“He’s Just Not That Into You”) and Marc Silverstein (“The Vow”), with McG (“Supernatural”), Mary Viola (“The Babysitter”), Nicolas Chartier (“The Hurt Locker”), Alissa Phillips (“Singularity”), Dominic Rustam (“Colossal”) and Schumer producing.
“I Feel Pretty” hits theaters June 29. Watch the trailer and see more stills from the film below.
