The American Pavilion Announces 2018 Cannes Programming

The American Pavilion has announced a slate of conversations and programming for the 2018 Cannes International Film Festival, which begins this week in the south of France.

The American Pavilion is a staple of the festival, with the Roger Ebert Conference Series that includes panels and in-conversations with industry leaders.

This year’s panels and In Conversation series include the filmmakers and stars of “Arctic,” “Best F(r)iends,” “BlacKkKlansman,” “House of Cardin,” “Leave No Trace,” “Rafiki,” “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” “Under the Silver Lake,” “The Eyes of Orson Welles,” “Whitney,” and “Wildlife,” among others.

Moderators include industry insiders from Cinetic Media, CSA, Focus Features, Gunpowder & Sky, IFC Midnight, ICM, IMDb, Indiewire, Pinewood Atlanta Studios, Roadside Attractions, SAG-AFTRA, Screen International, SingularDTV, Submarine, Sundance Film Festival among other notable speakers.

Topics to be discussed include #MeToo and #TimesUp, the future of VR, Blockchain Technology, and more.

AmPav also proudly presents Queer Night, the “biggest and only LGBTQ dance party event.”

They will present 27 short documentaries and narratives as part of the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, and also host events for Alumni, too.
