Few horror sequels generate the buzz that surrounds “It: Chapter Two” right now. However, few sequels have a cast as exciting as this film has assembled. The kids from the Losers Club in “It” were some of the breakout performers of the year. That was why casting the adult versions built so much excitement. Now, we can see The Losers in all their glory as adults.
Warner Brothers released several images of the Losers over the past two days. They released their first official image of the group together yesterday. The cast brings together seven of the most talented actors and actresses working today. Jessica Chastain plays the solo woman in the group, Beverly Marsh. Hot off the success of “Barry,” Bill Hader plays Richie Tozier, and James McAvoy plays Bill Denbrough. Former NFL Wide Receiver and renown commercial actor Isaiah Mustafa plays Mike Hanlon. TV stars fill out the cast for Stanley Uri (Andy Bean), Ben Hanscom (Jay Ryan), and Eddie Kaspbrak (James Ransone). While we don’t get a look at the characters in costume, it is clear that the group is excited to get to work.
However, that’s not all. McAvoy was also busy behind the scenes taking pictures with various cast members with a Polaroid camera. McAvoy posted a picture of the pictures on his Instagram late last week.
The plot of “It: Chapter Two” is as follows:
27 years later, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back.
Right now, it appears that the kids from the first film, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Chosen Jacobs are all returning. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise to terrorize the Losers Club. He’ll also be joined by Xavier Dolan and Teach Grant to round out the cast. Andy Muschietti returns as director of the film.
