The cinephile world is awaiting the drop of the next Spike Lee Joint, “BlacKkKlansman,” as we are a few days away from its release. The film follows Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), a black police officer in Colorado Springs in the 1960s. Ron calls the KKK and gets an in with the organization, who wishes to meet with him. Ron pairs with another cop, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver) to infiltrate the Klan.
Today, we’ve received new clips from the movie that showcase some of the performers. The scenes help showcase Washington and Driver early in the film as well as actress Laura Harrier, and actor Topher Grace. Also on display is some good pieces of below the line work in the film, including sound, cinematography and production design. Lee gets a good showing from his team, which could be an across the board player. The clips do the work justice and should get any fan interested in the movie. The clips are located below.
“BlacKkKlansman” is based on a true story. The ensemble is rounded out by Jasper Pääkkönen, Corey Hawkins, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ryan Eggold. At the Cannes Film Festival, Lee took home the Grand Prize award from the Jury. It currently sits at a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time of writing) and a 76 on Metacritic. Many are excited to see Lee back in the public consciousness with this film that is sure to be interesting.
