There’s no doubt that “Green Book” has piqued the interests of many pundits. The dual leads of Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali continue to be two of the most interesting actors in Hollywood. Ali won an Oscar for “Moonlight” just two years ago and continues to showcase his talent. Mortensen received an Oscar nomination the same year for “Captain Fantastic,” but lost out to Casey Affleck. Still, the two actors continue to trend upward, and the “Green Book” might get them back in the Oscar game. Perhaps most surprisingly, Peter Farrelly might come along for the ride. Below are some of the responses to “Green Book,” which premiered last night at TIFF.
Wow, #GreenBook is fantastic! Hands down one of the year’s great crowd pleasers w/ tremendous chemistry between Viggo Mortensen & Mahershala Ali. Totally blown away right now -a perfect holiday movie; reminded me of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. HIGHLY recommend#TIFF18 pic.twitter.com/S6huaIwXjx

#GreenBook Review: Viggo Mortensen gains 30 pounds to play a racist chauffeur who comes around in this feel-good flip on the ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ formula https://t.co/giaIVCIQJG #TIFF18 pic.twitter.com/cSVkLeXcFG

GREEN BOOK: Loved it! A heartfelt and delightful dramedy that tackles important issues without being a total downer. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali are magical together. Their chemistry reminded me of Steve Martin and John Candy in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. #GreenBook pic.twitter.com/TmGjbhdkzW
