  • Middleburg Film Festival had a big weekend that included Alfonso Cuaron’s “Roma,” Elizabeth Chomko’s “What They Had,” Joel Edgerton’s “Boy Erased,” Jason Reitman’s “The Front Runner,” Matthew Heineman’s “A Private War,” Peter Farrelly’s “Green Book” and more.
  • Is “Roma” a “critic’s darling” and something that won’t translate for general audiences?

  • The entire cast of “A Quiet Place” is being campaigned supporting.  Can any of them sneak into the Oscar race?
  • Who are the best working actresses today?  Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, Natalie Portman? Who?
  • The first predictions are made for the Independent Spirit Awards with official submissions being named and cited.
