The Denver Film Critics Society is the latest critics group to announce their awards nominations. As it turns out, “The Favourite” came out in front with five nominations. Although, “Roma,” “BlacKkKlansman,” “A Star Is Born,” and “First Reformed” had a strong showing with four nominations each. “The Favourite” may live up to its title. But it’s clear they have other favorites as well.

Meanwhile, “First Man” managed to crack the Best Film field despite a slight underperformance. Also, “Black Panther” did well with the techs and Ryan Coogler managed a Best Director nomination. However, it missed out on Best Film.
