Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association Crowns ‘The Favourite’ as the Year’s Best Film

It may sound tired to say this at this point. But “The Favourite” once again lives up to its title. The Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association anointed it with Best Film in their annual Dorian Awards. The period piece also won Film Performance Of The Year-Actress for Olivia Colman and Screenplay Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director for “Roma” which also took home Foreign Language Film. Also, “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” won Film Performance Of The Year-Supporting Actor for Richard E. Grant and LGBTQ+ Film Of The Year.

On the television side, the FX drama “Pose” dominated with four wins. Star Billy Porter managed to win two of them: TV Performance Of The Year-Actor and TV Musical Performance Of The Year. The latter win he shares with co-stars, MJ Rodriguez and Our Lady J for their rendition of the song “Home.”
