Winter is not only coming but a fierce blizzard is coming as well. That’s because the final season of “Game Of Thrones” is upon us. In a rather cryptic tweet, HBO revealed when its premiere date will be. Fans can tune into the season premiere of “True Detective” tonight so they can find out.

In hindsight, this is a wise ratings decision. “True Detective” has its fair share of hype surrounding it. Plus, there’s likely plenty of curiosity as to how it’ll fare after its underwhelming second season. So, to have a hyped announcement take place before an already hyped season premiere is a smart way for people to tune in.

This mysterious announcement should give any “Game Of Thrones” fan more anticipation than they already have. The series has become quite a cultural phenomenon and its final season will certainly feel like an event. Admittedly, the final season will be an emotional rollercoaster for many fans. But it should still be quite an experience regardless even if it’s only six episodes.

According to The Wrap, HBO had been promoting that the final season will debut in April. But now, audiences can finally find out which date in April. Also, it’ll be revealed in a teaser trailer before “True Detective” airs. As of right now, there’s no word on when a full length trailer is being released. But as they say, patience is a virtue.

Anyhow, the season premiere of “True Detective” will be at 9 p.m. EST. So anyone looking to watch for the announcement knows when to tune in. It’ll be a good chance for audiences to be able to play Detective themselves. The only catch is that the mystery will finally be revealed for them.
