This afternoon, the 72nd annual British Academy Film Awards were handed out. BAFTA has long been looked at as a big time Oscar indicator, with this year being even more the case. Voters were looked at to break some potential ties, as well as hint at what the Academy Awards could look like. What did they do? Well, they went heavy for “The Favourite,” which led the nominations and took home seven statues, though “Roma” ultimately took the top prize. Was this showing for the former enough to sway voters? We’ll find out in a few weeks. For now, we at least know what BAFTA had to say.
