**Circuit Q&A’s are our daily community question, posed to the readers of AwardsCircuit that cover various topics from film and television to general wonderings and for instances**
The 91st Academy Awards are in the books. We’ve made it. There’s plenty of analysis to come, though today we’re asking for some initial gut reactions. Specifically, we’re curious about how you found the actual telecast. Was it better than expected? Worse? Right at the level you foresaw? What grade would you give to the Oscar telecast? That’s what we want to know right now.
Considering all of the changes that the Oscar telecast went back and forth instituting then reneging on, did you notice a difference? Did the show feel any smoother than usual? Was the inclusion of the initially removed categories something that felt shoehorned in? Did you miss “All the Stars” from “Black Panther” being performed during the Best Original Song showcases? Overall, was it a show that felt familiar or did it represent some sort of sea change?
Perhaps there were some moments that really elevated the telecast for you? Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga performing “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” brought down the house. Spike Lee jumping into Samuel L. Jackson‘s arms is another great image. If something like that did it for you, that can make the show on the whole better. Hell, maybe just the wins themselves made you happy?
Here’s your chance to chime in with your personal review. What are your gut reactions/thoughts on the show itself and how the Oscar telecast turned out? Let us know!
