It can be hard to keep track of all the titles that Netflix puts out in a given year. The amount of films they’re in production on at any time is staggering. That can lead to some interesting movies going below the radar for far longer than they would otherwise. One such title is “The Devil All The Time.” Not only is it currently filming, but it quietly has a hell of cast. As filming goes on, they’ve added again to that lineup.
Deadline is reporting that “The Devil All The Time” has rounded out its cast. The latest addition is actor Harry Melling. He joins a group that is led by Jason Clarke, Tom Holland, Riley Keough, Robert Pattinson, Eliza Scanlen, Bill Skarsgard, Sebastian Stan, and Mia Wasikowska. Co-written and directed by Antonio Campos, this adaptation of the novel by Donald Ray Pollock represents another star-studded affair for the streaming giant.
This is the Amazon synopsis of the book:
In the backwoods of Ohio, Willard Russell’s wife is succumbing to cancer, no matter how much he drinks, prays, or sacrifices animals at his “prayer log.” Meanwhile, his son Arvin is growing up, from a kid bullied at school into a man who knows when to take action. Around them swirl a nefarious cast of characters—a demented team of serial killers, a spider-eating preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff—all braided into a riveting narrative of the grittiest American grain.
Netflix has no shortage of films to look forward to on their upcoming docket. From the sound of it, “The Devil All The Time” is one more that you should have earmarked.
