After “The Bachelor” dropped to its final two contestants, check out the “Women Tell All” episode on ABC. If you’re in the mood for a different kind of competition, “MasterChef” returns. “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” provides some education about the devil tonight. Finally, “Punch-Drunk Love,” “Big,” and “Home Alone” offer up some laughs.

Pick of the Day

The Bachelor” on ABC at 8 PM

The reality sensation returns after it widdled down to its final two last night. However, this one should be one that “Bachelor” fans often have circled: The “Women Tell All” episode. For new viewers, wishing to quickly catch up with the season before its upcoming finale, this can work as a clip show. Many of the girls have complex feelings toward the “Bachelor” of the season, and this gives them an opportunity to voice them.

What’s Premiering?

“The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” on National Geographic at 8 PM & 9 PM

With few premieres tonight, “The Story of God” stands out for its interesting concept. It follows Morgan Freeman as he travels around the world and observes how different cultures perceive different aspects of religion. This week, he dives into the most evil creature across many religions: the devil. Should make for a semi-interesting episode of television.

What’s Returning?

“MasterChef” on Fox at 8 PM

The reality competition cooking show returns for more kitchen-related fun. For foodies like myself, “MasterChef” can be an easy watch. It’s easy to dive into, even if you haven’t been watching the show unfold. During each episode, contestants are asked to compete in one of four different formats. They have a mystery box challenge, elimination challenge, team challenges, and the “Pressure Test” challenge. All are fun, and if you’ve never watched “MasterChef” before, check out the competition.

Movies on TV

“Big” on Cinemax at 8 PM

An integral piece in making Tom Hanks a household name, “Big” continues to be one of the best comedies of the 1980s. “Big” follows Josh, a young boy who wishes he could be an adult at a carnival game. The next morning, he discovers he grew up overnight. He goes into the city and accidentally finds himself working at a Toy company, where his career takes off. Along the way, he builds relationships with Elizabeth PerkinsRobert Loggia and more. One of Penny Marshall’s best, “Big” had an all-star team involved, and earned Hanks his first Oscar nomination.

“Punch-Drunk Love” on FLIX at 8 PM

P.T. Anderson decided to try out comedy after finishing “Magnolia,” and he teamed up with one of the world’s biggest comedy stars in the process. Adam Sandler has not made many movies like “Punch-Drunk Love,” and for some this was a turnoff. For others, it was exciting to watch Sandler really pushing himself as a performer. Using some of what Sandler does best to his advantage, Anderson tells a love story. The fact that Phillip Seymour Hoffman plays an angry phone-sex/matress salesman only adds to the fun.

“Home Alone” on Freeform at  9 PM

The Christmas classic continues to draw extremely diverse reactions to this day. Macauley Culkin became an overnight sensation, building on years of being the cute kid in Hollywood. John Hughes wrote the screenplay, and Christopher Columbus directed the holiday comedy well. Yet Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern steal the show. For some, it is easy to forget the great supporting cast, led by Catherine O’Hara, John CandyJohn Heard, and more.
