Welcome back to the Streaming Circuit, a look at what’s going to be available each week to watch in the comfort of your own home. For those of you hoping to find some quality viewing options without leaving the house, this is the column for you!
“Blue Jasmine” (Netflix)
For many, this is Woody Allen‘s last great film. Certainly, his script was on point and the lead performance by Cate Blanchett is an all-timer. One of her best roles ever, she sank her teeth into it and ran away with the movie. Our rave review here on the site says as much:
Her downward spiral is portrayed brilliantly, never becoming too maudlin or too broadly comedic. You feel for Jasmine, but you never completely grow to like her. It’s a fine line, but Blanchett walks it impeccably.
“Blue Jasmine” deservedly won Blanchett an Oscar. As of today, it’s now streaming on Netflix, so turn it on and enjoy!

CATCH IT BEFORE IT’S GONE
It’s hard to call an Adam Sandler comedy underrated, but this high concept one does have a surprisingly emotional core to it. The humor is undoubtedly silly, no one will argue that. However, once the tragedy kicks in, it’s actually pretty hard not to roll a tear. Newsweek agreed, with this being a part of their take:
As a moral fable Click holds no surprises; as a Sandler comedy, it’s unusually dark, occasionally touching and pretty funny.
“Click” is well worth a look if you’ve never seen it. Hurry though, as it’s about to leave the streaming service!
