Which stars will the HFPA invite to the party?

**UPDATE: Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, Ed Helms To Announce Golden Globe Nominations**

The Hollywood Foreign Press Academy will present their nominees tomorrow for 70th annual Golden Globe Awards hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.  As the star-studded affair where Hollywood drinks, laughs, and wins awards together, the nominees are good catapults in kick-starting a campaign for a film or performer.  What’s interesting is SAG has already presented their nominees which makes tomorrow’s announcement anti-climatic.

I expect to see many nominations for films like Lincoln and Les Miserables.  British films and performers will get their time to shine which helps films like Anna Karenina and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  Unfortunately since they LOVE their stars, little unknowns like Quvenzhane Wallis, Dwight Henry, and Ann Dowd might all be given the shaft tomorrow but that’s to be expected.

The full predictions are down below but you can see the rankings of all the films in contention on the Golden Globe Predictions page.  It’s been a busy week here folks. Read more on Golden Globe Predictions – A Final Guess…

Bérénice Bejo and Malcolm McDowell in THE ARTIST (The Weinstein Company)

“The Artist” lead the way with three golden statues including Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) and Best Actor for Jean Dujardin.  Alexander Payne’s “The Descendants” followed with two wins including Best Picture (Drama) and another award for lead George Clooney.  Probably the biggest surprise of the night was Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” winning Best Screenplay and Madonna’s not-well received “W.E.” taking home Original Song, which is ineligible for Oscar consideration.  Check out all the winners for film and television after the jump.

Every year at the Golden Globe Awards, the same TV shows are always nominated and the same actors win, and it always seems to get a little boring. This year many new shows and names are in the running to win including American Horror Story, Homeland and New Girl. Should be a fun show!

My predictions are listed below. Be sure to tune in Sunday at 8et/5pt on NBC for the 69th annual Golden Globes!

The Golden Globe Awards are on Sunday which will bestow their statues on the very best that Hollywood has to offer. While it is widely believed, the HFPA have no real effect on the Oscar race, the group does throw one hell of a party especially with Ricky Gervais returning as host. The ceremony takes place on Sunday at 8:00pm ET and with the Oscar ballots going in the mail today, whatever happens on Sunday surprisingly, will have no threat on this year’s race, not that it would anyway.
